Puglia region allocates 2.2 million euros for Christmas festivities
The Puglia regional government has approved a 2.2 million euro fund titled “Natale in Puglia 2026” to support holiday activities across eight provincial capitals: Bari, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce, Taranto, Andria, Barletta, and Trani.
Of the total budget, 2 million euros are earmarked for municipal programs, while 200,000 euros will fund institutional communication and regional promotion. The initiative aims to boost local economies and tourism through music, performing arts, workshops, and traditional celebrations from December 6, 2026, to January 6, 2027.
In Brindisi, approximately 206,760 euros have been allocated for community and cultural initiatives. In Taranto, 343,000 euros have been assigned to revitalize shopping districts and streets, a move supported by Confcommercio to help local businesses recover from economic challenges and urban construction disruptions.
