Puglia Region announces funding for incarcerated parents' family ties
The Puglia Region has launched a public notice to provide regional funding for projects aimed at supporting the relationship between incarcerated parents and their minor children. The initiative, funded by the regional Welfare department, is a collaborative effort between the Regional Guarantor for the Rights of Persons Subject to Restrictive Liberty Measures and the Regional Guarantor for the Rights of the Minor.
The program seeks to preserve affective and family ties during detention to protect the well-being of children and support the social reintegration of detainees. Eligible projects can receive regional contributions of up to 12,500 euros, covering a maximum of 75% of admissible expenses. To qualify, the total project cost must be at least 16,700 euros. Funds will be allocated based on rankings across four designated territorial areas until the budget is exhausted.
