Puglia Region implements 50% increase in agricultural fuel tax credits

The Puglia Region has launched applications for a 50% increase in tax credits for agricultural fuel. Starting August 27, farmers can submit requests via the SEIA UMA portal to access these additional benefits for the year 2026.

The measure is designed to support agricultural businesses that have faced increased fuel needs due to recent climate and weather conditions. These conditions necessitated a higher number of cultivation operations, such as phytosanitary treatments and soil preparation, than usual.

The 50% increase applies to specific sectors, including wine and table grapes, arable land, vegetables, fruit trees, olive groves, and citrus groves. To qualify, businesses must have already applied for the standard 2026 benefits by June 30, 2026, and must declare they possess the necessary equipment for the relevant operations.
