Puglia Region increases social impact funding by 5 million euros

The Puglia Welfare Department has increased the budget for its “Impatto Sociale” public notice by 5 million euros, bringing the total allocation to 15 million euros. This decision follows an exceptionally high number of applications, demonstrating the capacity of social enterprises to provide innovative responses to welfare challenges.

The initiative aims to address social isolation, difficulties in accessing services, and barriers to cultural and professional participation. It is part of a regional strategy that integrates welfare policies with economic development and support for social entrepreneurship, aligning with the National Action Plan for the social economy.

By supporting the creation and consolidation of social enterprises, the region seeks to foster new employment and innovative services. The model focuses on connecting European resources with the needs of the Third Sector and local communities to create sustainable and replicable interventions.
