Pukyong National University hosts maritime and academic research events

Pukyong National University (PKNU) has held several major academic and research-focused events to promote maritime and graduate studies. The university hosted the ‘2026 PAC’ (PKNU Open Lab, Academic Conference, Connection), an event designed to showcase graduate research excellence, facilitate lab tours for students, and encourage academic exchange among researchers.

In international cooperation, PKNU held the ‘2026 International Joint Academic Exchange’ with Japan Fisheries University. The program included academic symposiums, poster presentations, and English speech sessions covering topics such as blue food tech, marine biological resources, and carbon neutrality in ship fuels. The two institutions also renewed their existing academic cooperation agreements.

Additionally, the ‘2026 East Asia Maritime Humanities International Conference’ was organized to explore the history and culture of maritime civilizations in East Asia, involving experts from South Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan.
