Pukyong National University wins third consecutive staff football title

Pukyong National University's staff football club has achieved a historic third consecutive victory at the 17th Minister of Education Cup National National and Public University Staff Football Tournament. The tournament, held from September 17 to 19 at venues including Seoul National University of Science and Technology and the Korea Military Academy Hwarang Field, featured approximately 600 participants from 19 teams representing 17 national and public universities.

Pukyong National University maintained an undefeated record throughout the competition, winning all six matches with a total of 16 goals scored and only one goal conceded. In the final, they defeated Kyungpook National University with a score of 2-0. Ban Gyu-hyeon from Pukyong National University was named the Most Valuable Player.

Kyungpook National University secured the runner-up position for the second consecutive year. After finishing first in their group and winning their quarterfinal match via penalty shootout, they defeated Kangwon National University in the semifinals before falling to Pukyong in the final. Bang Won-gil from Kyungpook National University received an outstanding player award.
