Pula extends Eco-Schools program as PAR University launches green economy study
The City of Pula has signed a cooperation agreement with the Lijepa Naša Association to continue the international Eco-Schools program through 2026. This initiative, part of a global network under the Foundation for Environmental Education, aims to promote environmental education and sustainable development within local educational institutions. Participating schools, including Kaštanjer, Vidikovac, Veli Vrh, and Monte Zaro, will engage in activities such as waste separation, energy and water conservation, and ecological workshops.
In higher education, PAR University in Rijeka is launching a new European graduate program titled ‘Green Economy and Sustainable Future’. Developed in partnership with universities in Finland, Austria, and Spain, the interdisciplinary MBA program is designed to train leaders for the green transition. The program will be conducted entirely in English and allows students to study across multiple European countries, with the first enrollments scheduled for the 2027/2028 academic year.
