Pula hosts national Day of Croatian Female Veterans ceremony

Around 800 women who served in the Croatian Homeland War gathered in Pula, Istria, for the annual central observance of the Day of Croatian Female Veterans, titled "Žena – Majka – Ratnica". The event featured a solemn mass, the laying of wreaths at the veterans' monument, and a mimohod (procession) that wound through the city displaying the flags of all wartime units.

Government officials addressed the crowd, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved, Health Minister Irena Hrstić, and Istrian County Prefect Boris Miletić. They praised the contributions and sacrifices of the women veterans, highlighted ongoing support programs for health care and the search for missing persons, and reaffirmed the importance of preserving the memory of the war for future generations.
