Pula Literary Festival begins at Nora archaeological site
The fourth edition of the Pula Literary Festival, titled ‘Oltre i confini’ (Beyond Borders), is taking place at the Nora archaeological site in Sardinia from August 25 to August 29. Under the artistic direction of Dario Vergassola, the festival explores the theme of travel as both a physical journey and an internal experience of memory and transformation.
The event features a diverse lineup of authors and cultural figures. Scheduled sessions include presentations by Francesco Carofiglio, Graziella Monni, and Paolo Mieli, among others. The festival is organized by the Fondazione Pula Cultura Diffusa in collaboration with the Municipality of Pula.
A notable highlight includes the presentation of ‘Sapori di lunga vita’ by Roberto Pili, president of the World Longevity Community. The book explores the nutritional history and dietary habits of populations around the Santa Gilla lagoon, examining how local ecosystems and traditional preservation methods, such as the use of salt and indigenous spices, contributed to long-term health from the Nuragic era to the present.
