Pulitzer Prizes and American Library Association launch touring exhibit

The Pulitzer Prizes and the American Library Association have announced a 20-city touring exhibition titled ‘Pulitzer on the Road: Prize-Winning Works That Inform, Empower & Inspire’. The exhibit is scheduled to launch this October at the Chicago Public Library and the Dallas Public Library, continuing through May 2028 with stops in various locations including Reading, Pennsylvania, and San Jose, California.

The exhibition will showcase over a century of Pulitzer-winning achievements, ranging from landmark news reporting like the Watergate scandal and the Pentagon Papers to iconic photography, poetry, plays, and fiction. Featured works include those by Toni Morrison, John Steinbeck, Sylvia Plath, and Arthur Miller.

Several Pulitzer-winning novelists, including Barbara Kingsolver, Percival Everett, and Daniel Kraus, are expected to participate in the tour. Other contributors include composer Gabriela Frank and photojournalist Jon Cherry. The initiative aims to bring award-winning journalism and storytelling to communities nationwide to foster curiosity and civic engagement.
