Pulley to shut down cap table management operations

Pulley, a cap table management startup, has announced it will cease all operations on December 8, 2026. The company, which provides software for startups to track funding, ownership structures, and equity issuance, has raised over $50 million from investors including Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Stripe, and 8VC.

To facilitate the wind-down, Pulley is working with its primary competitor, Carta, to transition existing customers and redirect potential new clients. As part of this arrangement, Carta will offer a limited-time promotion where migrating customers can maintain their current Pulley pricing for the first year and receive credits for any unused portions of their Pulley subscriptions.

Founder Yin Wu stated on LinkedIn that while this marks the end of a chapter, she and several key team members intend to continue solving major problems in the future. The company's closure follows seven years of operation in a market increasingly influenced by digital workflows and AI-driven tools.
