Pulp Documentary 'What Do You Do For An Encore?' Scheduled for One‑Night Theatrical Showings in UK, Canada and US

The new Pulp documentary, *What Do You Do For An Encore?*, directed by Garth Jennings and narrated by front‑man Jarvis Cocker, will premiere as a one‑night‑only theatrical event. Screenings are set for 18 September in the United Kingdom and Ireland, 23 September in Canada, and 24 September in the United States, after which the film will become available exclusively on the streaming platform MUBI.

The 90‑minute film combines footage from the band’s 2025 arena tour with four decades of previously unseen archival material, featuring twenty of the group’s songs. Executive producers include Jarvis Cocker, Stuart Goldstein, Tom Healy and Rosie Taylor. Jennings, known for directing music videos for acts such as Blur and Radiohead and the feature *The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy*, oversees the production.

In a promotional trailer, Cocker remarks, “This is like going back to when you start a band,” underscoring the film’s celebration of Pulp’s rise from Sheffield outsiders to cultural icons.
