Local authorities in the Lower Silesian voivodeship continue searching for a puma that has been sighted in several municipalities. The animal was first reported on 17 July in the Gmina Pęcław area, then confirmed in Gmina Jerzmanowa (near Golowice). Officials from the Głogów Forest District and the county crisis‑management centre are conducting patrols to locate the predator.
Residents have been urged to avoid forested areas, keep pets secured and maintain a safe distance from any puma. The authorities provided contact numbers for the County Crisis Management Centre (76 728 28 48), the County Veterinary Inspectorate (76 727 65 90), the local police (47 87 422 00/01) and the Głogów Forest District (76 835 70 45).
