Puma to release limited edition FAST-RB NITRO ELITE 2 LACED in Japan

Puma Japan has announced the release of the FAST-RB NITRO ELITE 2 LACED, a concept running shoe designed to challenge traditional design limits. A limited run of 100 pairs will be available in Japan starting October 28, 2026, priced at 66,000 yen.

Developed at the company’s NITRO™ LAB, the shoe features a unique PWRPLATE system consisting of two joined carbon fiber plates in a cantilever structure. This design is intended to act like a springboard, flexing during landing and returning to shape to provide powerful propulsion. The footwear also utilizes a dual-layer NITROFOAM™ ELITE foam for optimized cushioning and energy return, an ULTRAWEAVE upper for breathability, and PUMAGRIP for traction.

While the model has recorded the highest running economy in Puma’s road running lineup during internal testing, it does not comply with official competition regulations and is therefore not permitted in sanctioned races. The limited release will be available through Puma Stores in Harajuku Cat Street and Osaka, the official Puma app, and select online retailers.
