Pumas dominate Bravos de Juárez 5-1 as Juninho records hat‑trick
Pumas de la Universidad Nacional (UNAM) beat FC Bravos de Juárez 5‑1 in the third round of the Apertura 2026 Liga MX season at the Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez. Brazilian forward Juninho Vieira scored a hat‑trick – his first career hat‑trick – converting a penalty in the 18th minute, adding a second goal in the 22nd minute from a Robert Morales assist, and completing the trio in the 48th minute after a defensive lapse. Robert Morales also scored in the 40th minute and Guillermo Martínez added the fifth goal in the 83rd minute. The victory lifted Pumas to second place with six points, putting them in the vice‑leadership of the tournament. Bravos suffered their third consecutive defeat, remaining at the bottom of the table with zero points and the worst defensive record. Coach Esteban Solari praised the team's respect and effort, while Juninho joined a short list of Pumas players to record a hat‑trick, the first in eight years.
