Pumas halts Nathan Silva transfer to Botafogo

Negotiations between Botafogo and Pumas for the transfer of defender Nathan Silva have collapsed. Although Pumas had previously accepted a proposal of approximately US$ 1.8 million (roughly R$ 10 million) from the Brazilian club, the Mexican side has decided to retain the player.

The decision stems from Pumas' inability to secure a replacement for Silva. Because the club could not find a suitable defensive substitute, they opted to cancel the sale. Consequently, Botafogo's plans to strengthen their defense have been frustrated, forcing the club to evaluate other options before the transfer window closes on September 11.
