Québec regulator warns Pump.fun is not registered to solicit investors

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has issued a warning regarding the Pump.fun platform, stating that it is not registered or authorized to solicit investors in Québec. The regulator has categorized the platform as a high-risk cryptoasset service involving user-generated digital assets.

The warning, which was also disseminated by the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), does not constitute a website ban, an enforcement order, or a formal finding of fraud. It also does not involve any changes to user wallet access. The AMF advises residents of Québec to exercise caution and verify the registration status of any firm or individual before engaging in financial activities.
