Pumpkin festivals and seasonal traditions arrive in Guatemala and Mexico

Seasonal pumpkin-themed activities and traditions are being highlighted in Central America. In Tecpán, Guatemala, Rincón Suizo Farm will host its traditional Pumpkin Festival on October 3, 4, 10, and 11. The event features family-oriented activities including train rides through the farm, treehouse visits, photography stations, and pumpkin decorating areas. Tickets are priced at Q50 for children under 12 and Q75 for adults, with limited capacity available.

Additionally, pumpkin-based culinary traditions are noted, such as homemade pumpkin bread. This seasonal recipe utilizes pumpkin puree to provide natural sweetness and moisture, serving as a traditional dessert in North American baking customs.
