Pumpkin nutritional benefits and dietary value

Pumpkin is a nutrient-dense seasonal food containing fiber, carotenoids, potassium, and essential micronutrients. According to registered dietitian Julia Zumpano, the vegetable is a rich source of beta-carotene, which the body converts into Vitamin A to support vision, immune function, and skin health.

While pumpkin provides magnesium, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B6, experts note that it should be viewed as part of a varied diet rather than a standalone cure for diseases. Its fiber content can also aid digestion and promote satiety.
