Pumpkin patches and fall festivals open in Washington and Alberta

Fall seasonal activities are beginning across Washington State and Alberta, with various farms opening pumpkin patches and autumn festivals for visitors.

In Washington State, Swans Trail Farms in Snohomish is noted for its large corn maze and various farm activities. Other regional options include Palmer's Adventure Farm near Spokane, Curfman's Corn Maze in Toppenish, and several locations near the Tri-Cities such as Country Mercantile and Middleton Farms.

In Alberta, Calgary Farmyard is hosting Fall Days with activities including wagon rides and ziplines. Kraay Family Farm near Lacombe is holding its annual Pumpkin Days, with 100 per cent of pumpkin and flower sales being donated to Make-A-Wish. Additionally, Butterfield Acres in northwest Calgary is hosting its Harvest Pumpkin Fest during October.
