Pumpkin season begins with exhibitions in Erfurt and harvests in Munich
The pumpkin season has arrived in various parts of Germany, featuring both themed exhibitions and local agricultural offerings.
In Erfurt, Egapark has opened its ‘Under the Sea’ pumpkin exhibition. The display features ten life-sized figures shaped from pumpkins, including characters such as SpongeBob, mermaids, sharks, and dolphins. The exhibition is scheduled to run from September 5 through October 31, 2026.
In the Munich region, local farm shops are beginning their seasonal sales. Obsthof Knab, with locations in Unterschleißheim, Eching, Feldmoching, Haimhausen, Johanneskirchen, and Neufahrn, offers both edible and decorative pumpkins. Additionally, Hofladen Max Kraus in Ismaning has added pumpkins to its seasonal inventory.
