Pumpkin seeds recognized as highly nutritious superfood

Pumpkin seeds have been recognized as one of the world’s most nutritious foods, appearing on a list of 100 nutrient-dense foods published by BBC Good Food. This list was compiled following an analysis of over 1,000 different food items.

In Vietnam, pumpkin seeds are widely available and commonly grown across various regions due to the country's suitability for pumpkin cultivation. They are a traditional snack, particularly popular during the Tet holiday when they are often cleaned, dried, and roasted.

Nutritionally, pumpkin seeds are a rich source of magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, and protein. Magnesium is highlighted for its critical role in hundreds of biochemical reactions, including energy production, nervous system and muscle function, and blood pressure regulation.
