PUNB financing funds increased to RM500 million under Budget 2027

Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) has received an increase in financing funds to RM500 million under Budget 2027, up from the previous allocation of RM350 million. The increase aims to strengthen efforts to empower Bumiputera entrepreneurs.

PUNB Chief Executive Officer Izwan Zainuddin stated that the additional RM150 million reflects the government's confidence in the agency's role. He emphasized that the funds will be managed with integrity, transparency, and good governance to ensure they reach eligible entrepreneurs.

The agency plans to align its support with the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA 35), focusing on high-potential sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, new energy, and other high-value industries. This move follows recognition from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim regarding the effectiveness of PUNB's financing programs.
