Pune-Bengaluru Highway traffic disrupted for SUV social media reel

Four individuals face legal action after disrupting traffic on the Pune-Bengaluru Highway to film a social media reel celebrating the purchase of a new SUV. The incident occurred on August 27 near the Sahyadri Mahindra showroom and Bhujbal Chowk in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

According to police, the group used vehicles, including Toyota Fortuners, to slow down or block traffic to facilitate a drone-recorded video of a new electric vehicle. The filming caused significant vehicle congestion and posed a safety risk to commuters.

Law enforcement has filed an FIR against the SUV owner, Somnath Ashok Kedari, two drivers, and photographer Soham Chavan. Police have seized the new vehicle and a Fortuner as part of the investigation, which also includes checking for unauthorized drone usage.
