Pune Metro records 4.83 million passengers during Ganeshotsav

Pune Metro recorded significant ridership and revenue growth during the 12-day Ganeshotsav festival held from September 14 to September 25, 2026. Over 4.83 million passengers utilized the metro service, generating a total revenue of ₹7,49,28,377.

This represents a 29.99% increase in passengers compared to 2025 and a 136.32% increase compared to 2024. The busiest station during the festival was Mahatma Phule Mandai, which saw 682,473 passengers and contributed ₹1,01,85,255 in revenue.

Performance across the two main corridors was as follows: - Line 1 (PCMC to Swargate): 2,515,516 passengers with ₹4,17,46,626 in revenue. - Line 2 (Vinanaj to Ramwadi): 2,317,399 passengers with ₹3,31,81,751 in revenue.

The District Court interchange station played a vital role, facilitating transfers for 1,039,452 passengers between the two lines.
