Puneet Issar criticizes Naseeruddin Shah over selective political views

Actor Puneet Issar has expressed disagreement with the political statements made by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. While acknowledging Shah as a senior and an excellent artist, Issar alleged that Shah's public opinions appear one-sided and focus primarily on issues related to leftist and pro-Naxal ideas.

Issar stated that intellectuals and artists should express views on a broader range of topics, including matters of national security and national interest, rather than only criticizing the government. He specifically questioned the tendency of some individuals to support convicted criminals or jailed terrorists, suggesting that responsibility toward the country requires taking a clear stand on such issues.
