Pune's Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati unveils 'Shree Ganesh Swarnadham' theme
The historic Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal in Pune has unveiled its theme, 'Shree Ganesh Swarnadham,' for the 135th Ganeshotsav. The theme focuses on the divine abode of Lord Ganesha and emphasizes the Indian cultural values of 'Matrudevo Bhava, Pitrudevo Bhava,' which promotes reverence and gratitude toward parents.
The unveiling coincided with the traditional Vasa Pujan ceremony, performed by Pune Police Deputy Commissioner Krushikesh Rawale, Ashokbhai Shah, and festival chief and trustee Punit Balan. The mandal, historically known as the 'Ganpati of the revolutionaries' for its role in connecting the festival to social awareness and national consciousness during the freedom struggle, aims to maintain religious sanctity and tradition.
Organizers have also committed to hosting a DJ-free Ganeshotsav and Dahi Handi celebration, continuing the practice from the previous year.
