Punjab and Sindh set new school closure dates and timetables

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that all government and private schools in the province will remain closed until August 24 and warned that no institution should reopen before that date.

The Sindh Education Department issued a circular effective August 6 revising school hours for both single‑shift primary schools and double‑shift elementary, secondary and higher‑secondary schools, outlining specific start and end times through October 31 and later adjustments for the November‑March period.

Both provincial directives are part of coordinated efforts to manage the academic calendar amid ongoing public‑health considerations.
