Punjab attracts ₹1.89 lakh crore in investment over four years

Punjab has attracted ₹1.89 lakh crore in investments over the last four years, according to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. This influx of capital has created employment potential for approximately 6.31 lakh youth.

Investment proposals are distributed across various districts, with Mohali leading at ₹9,478 crore, followed by Ludhiana at ₹4,968 crore, Patiala at ₹2,590 crore, and Hoshiarpur at ₹2,003 crore. The growth is expanding beyond traditional industrial centers into sectors such as IT, technology, renewable energy, automobile components, and food processing.

Major companies including Tata Steel, JSW Steel, AICHI Steels, Vardhman, Nestle, Hindustan Lever, Cargill, De Heus, HMEL, Santhan Textiles, and Freudenberg have either invested in or expanded their presence within the state.
