Punjab BJP chief meets Nitin Nabin to strategize for 2027 elections
Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon met with BJP National President Nitin Nabin and State In-charge Satish Punia in New Delhi to formulate strategies for the 2027 Assembly elections and strengthen the party organization. The discussions focused on creating a roadmap involving issues such as agriculture, youth employment, border security, and urban development.
Dhillon announced plans to build robust organizational teams at the district, mandal, and village levels. The party is currently conducting outreach campaigns in both rural and urban areas to highlight the benefits of central government schemes and to address local concerns regarding drug abuse, law and order, and unemployment.
The meeting comes amid reports of internal dissatisfaction within the Punjab BJP unit following recent organizational changes, with some members alleging that veteran cadres are being sidelined. Additionally, political speculation has arisen regarding a potential alliance between the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal following a meeting between Sukhbir Singh Badal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
