Punjab BJP condemns alleged police torture of drug activist

Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon has condemned the alleged police torture of Mohanjit Singh, a Sikh activist. Singh was reportedly detained after directly raising concerns regarding the drug crisis in Punjab with the Chief Minister.

Dhillon criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government, alleging that the police action was an attempt to suppress dissent and silence citizens. He further claimed that the treatment of Singh included the insult of his 'Kakar' and called for an impartial investigation into the alleged assault.

The BJP has stated it is working to ensure justice for Singh and has contacted senior police officials, including the Director General of Police, to demand accountability.
