Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon's convoy attacked

The convoy of Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Kewal Singh Dhillon was allegedly attacked by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers on Thursday. Dhillon and several senior leaders, including BJP National Vice-President Manpreet Singh Badal and former State Presidents Sunil Jakhar and Ashwani Sharma, escaped the incident unhurt.

The attack occurred in the Sangrur district while the leaders were traveling to Toor Banjara village to offer condolences to the family of Gulzar Singh, who reportedly died by suicide. Dhillon accused the AAP government of practicing ‘hooliganism’ and attempting to silence the opposition. He further alleged that police were nearby during the incident but did not intervene, describing the event as an ‘attack on democracy’ orchestrated by AAP workers acting on instructions from Delhi.
