Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz directs oversight of provincial development projects

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed her government’s commitment to provincial development through meetings with Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) from Sahiwal and Pakpattan. During these sessions, the Chief Minister issued directives to elected representatives to maintain strict oversight regarding the quality, transparency, and pace of ongoing development projects in their respective districts.

Key initiatives highlighted include the expansion of the electric bus service. In Sahiwal, 14 additional electric buses are slated for deployment to enhance public transportation. In Pakpattan, lawmakers praised the existing fleet of 15 environment-friendly buses, describing the service as a “game changer of the decade” for local commuters.

Educational advancements were also a primary focus, specifically the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif Schools of Eminence. These state-of-the-art institutions aim to provide modern educational opportunities to children across the province, intended to bridge the gap between different socioeconomic groups.
