Punjab Congress begins drafting public manifesto for elections

The Punjab Congress has accelerated the process of preparing its ‘Jan Ghoshna Patra’ (People's Manifesto) in anticipation of the upcoming assembly elections. MP Dr. Amar Singh stated that the party aims to create a document that reflects the opinions and expectations of all sections of society to build public trust.

To ensure the manifesto is a credible and practical document, the party plans to engage with various groups, including farmers, laborers, employees, the military, industry leaders, students, teachers, and economists. The strategy involves conducting dialogues in major cities and key regions to gather widespread suggestions before consulting senior party leaders.

Addressing potential political shifts, Singh commented on a possible alliance between the Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP. He noted that while the two parties have collaborated in the past, Congress remains focused on its own platform and believes any such alliance would have to answer to the public regarding issues such as the farmer protests and MSP.
