Punjab implements 104 Helpline follow-ups for MMSY patients

The Punjab government has enhanced its Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY) by utilizing the 104 Health Helpline to provide post-discharge follow-ups for patients. This initiative aims to maintain a connection between the health system and patients after they leave the hospital.

Under this system, helpline teams contact patients to inquire about their recovery, the quality of hospital care, and the availability of necessary medicines. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh stated that the goal is to ensure transparency in government health services and to provide continuous support during the critical recovery phase.

Patients receiving orthopedic treatment in regions such as Bathinda and Dasuya have reported that the follow-up calls provide reassurance and ensure that the cashless treatment benefits extend beyond the initial hospital stay.
