The Punjab government is set to disburse the next installment of the Mavan-Dhian Satikar Yojana on October 1. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced that the funds will be credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible women beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann reported that the government has transferred 1,262.54 crore to approximately 36.87 lakh women under the scheme. The direct transfers, ranging from 3,000 to 4,500, are intended to provide financial support and encouragement to families across the state.
During a gathering at Sri Goindwal Sahib, Mann emphasized that the administration is utilizing tax revenue for direct welfare measures. He stated that the scheme aims to support mothers and sisters, noting that the funds often serve as savings for their children's futures.
