Punjab Kings faces coaching staff exodus ahead of IPL 2027

Punjab Kings (PBKS) is facing significant changes to its coaching staff ahead of the IPL 2027 season. Following the departure of spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule, two more Australian coaches, fielding coach Brad Haddin and pace bowling coach James Hope, have also resigned from the franchise.

Reports suggest that Haddin and Hope may be moving to take on new responsibilities in the Big Bash League (BBL). The franchise is now tasked with finding at least three new coaching staff members to fill these vacancies.

Head coach Ricky Ponting will hold primary responsibility for selecting the new staff. While the PBKS management may suggest potential candidates, the final decision will rest with Ponting following interviews and discussions. The franchise aims to finalize the new coaching lineup before the IPL auction in mid-December.
