Punjab launches digital health card downloads for MMSY

The Punjab government has introduced a digital facility for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana (MMSY) to download their health cards online. The State Health Agency (SHA) Punjab has made this service live on its official portal, allowing citizens to access their cards from home without visiting service centers or offices.

To download the card, beneficiaries must complete an e-KYC and photo verification process. The procedure involves three steps: entering details such as Family ID, health card number, mobile number, or Aadhaar number; completing an OTP verification via a registered mobile number; and finally downloading the verified card in PDF format.

The MMSY provides eligible families with cashless medical coverage of up to 10 lakh rupees per year. This digital initiative aims to reduce paperwork and ensure that essential documents are immediately available during medical emergencies.
