Punjab Police Arrest Four Over ISI-Linked Attack on Amritsar Post

On July 31, 2026, Amritsar Rural Police in Punjab foiled an incendiary attack on Police Post Chamiari, Ajnala station, arresting four suspects, including a minor. The assailants, aged 20‑22, threw an incendiary device but caused no major casualties.

Investigations revealed they were directed by an overseas handler linked to Pakistan’s Inter‑Services Intelligence, known as “Rana Bai”, and received funding for the plot. Senior Superintendent of Police Kanwalpreet Singh Chahal said digital devices recovered will help trace the money trail and any further plans.
