Punjab Police conduct 584 raids in statewide gangster crackdown

The Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), conducted 584 raids across the state as part of the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign. The operation, marking the 228th day of the initiative, resulted in the arrest of 250 individuals and nine proclaimed offenders. This brings the total number of arrests made under the campaign to 68,115.

In a parallel effort, the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ anti-drug campaign reached its 553rd day. During the latest operations, police arrested 76 alleged drug smugglers and recovered various quantities of heroin, opium, and intoxicant pills. The total number of drug smugglers arrested under this specific campaign has reached 77,183.
