Punjab Police arrest three Bambiha gang members deported from Malaysia

Punjab Police, supported by central agencies and the Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell (OFTEC), has successfully deported and arrested three wanted members of the Davinder Bambiha gang from Malaysia.

The suspects, identified as Jaspreet Singh (alias Jas Behbal), Ajay Singh, and Pawandeep Singh, were apprehended at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi following their deportation. The trio is wanted in multiple criminal cases in Punjab, including murder, extortion, and the handling of explosives. Authorities also linked them to a planned hand-grenade attack in Ludhiana and alleged connections to Pakistan’s ISI.

Investigations revealed that Jaspreet Singh had moved to Malaysia in 2019, where he reportedly rose to become a key operative within the gang. In a separate but related development, Delhi Police arrested two other shooters, Harmanjit Singh and Harshdeep Singh, who were allegedly linked to both the Bambiha and Kapil Sangwan gangs following a firing incident in Najafgarh.
