Punjab political leaders clash over governance and welfare

Political tensions in Punjab have escalated as leaders from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition exchange accusations regarding governance and welfare.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, speaking at a gathering in Amritsar, claimed that the people of Punjab are dissatisfied with the AAP administration. Saini accused the current government of corruption and stated that citizens are seeking a change toward a BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure development and good governance.

In response, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann defended his administration's record, asserting that public funds are being effectively utilized for education, healthcare, and infrastructure. Mann highlighted achievements such as increased student success in NEET exams and the widespread distribution of free electricity and health insurance cards. He accused opposition parties, including the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, and BJP, of prioritizing their own interests over public welfare.
