Punjab reports 57 dengue cases in September

Punjab has reported 57 confirmed dengue cases during the month of September. Rawalpindi recorded the highest number of infections with 22 cases, followed by Lahore with 14 cases.

Other reported cases include three each in Chakwal, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan; two each in Attock, Gujranwala, and Muzaffargarh; and one case each in DG Khan, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Pakpattan, and Sialkot.

The health department has stated that adequate measures are in place to manage the outbreak, including maintaining sufficient medicine supplies in public hospitals. Authorities have issued an advisory for residents to maintain clean, dry environments to reduce mosquito breeding and have established a dedicated helpline (1033) for treatment inquiries and complaints.
