À Punt to premiere documentary series on Jaume I

The Valencian public broadcaster À Punt will premiere the ten-part documentary series ‘Buscant Jaume I’ on October 9 at 22:45. The production, which explores the history, heritage, and territory linked to the conquest and configuration of the Kingdom of Valencia, was presented at the Diputació de València.

Hosted by Mireia Pérez and directed by José María Villagrasa, the series traces the historical footprints of King James I (Jaume I) across various Valencian towns and cities. The itinerary includes locations such as El Puig de Santa Maria, Torrent, Paterna, Bétera, Alzira, Cullera, Xàtiva, Enguera, and Montesa. The documentary utilizes local castles, walls, and landscapes to illustrate how the conquest unfolded beyond major urban centers.

The Diputació de València collaborated on the production and promotion of the series. During the presentation, Vicent Mompó, president of the Diputació, emphasized the importance of investing in local stories and high-quality audiovisual content to showcase regional identity and heritage.
