À Punt to produce new fiction series ‘Bambalina’

The Valencian public broadcaster À Punt has announced the production of a new fiction series titled ‘Bambalina’, with an investment of 1.25 million euros. The project is being led by the same production team behind the long-running series ‘L’Alqueria Blanca’.

Set in a small town during the late 1980s and early 1990s, the story follows a character named Isabel who arrives in the town to investigate an unexpected inheritance. Another narrative thread involves a theater company attempting to revive a closed theater and the surrounding neighborhood.

The first season will consist of 13 episodes, each 55 minutes long, and will be filmed in Buñol, where sets are currently under construction. The cast includes Maria Maroto, Jaime Linares, and Cristina Fernández, alongside emerging actors such as Paula Valiño, Sergio Martín, and Carla Benavent.
