Punta Arenas opens registration for parenting support program

The Municipality of Punta Arenas has opened registration for the second cycle of the ‘Círculo Creando Vínculos’ program. Managed by the Childhood and Youth Unit of Dideco, the initiative is designed to support pregnant individuals, parents, and caregivers of infants up to 11 months old through emotional support and learning spaces.

Registration will take place in person from August 17 to August 19 at Avenida Independencia 830, during morning and afternoon hours. The program has expanded its capacity to 60 participants, offering 30 spots for pregnant women and 30 for caregivers with infants.

The workshops will be held at Casa Amaia and cover five practical topics: ergonomic Mai Tai babywearing, babywearing dance, movement and pelvic floor, Qigong or moving meditation, and pelvic floor strengthening. The program will run for three months with monthly sessions scheduled for both the pregnancy and postpartum groups.
