Punta Arenas students lead stroke prevention fair

Students from several educational institutions in Punta Arenas, including Liceo Sara Braun, Liceo Experimental, Liceo Luis Alberto Barrera, and Colegio Alemán, participated in the 5th School Fair titled “Actívate, Cuídate y Vive sin ACV” (Activate, Care for Yourself, and Live without Stroke).

The initiative is part of an intersectoral project aimed at educating the school community on the prevention and timely detection of cerebrovascular accidents (CVA/stroke). Through workshops, educational materials, and games, students acted as agents of change to promote healthy lifestyle habits and recognize symptoms within their families and communities.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the SEREMI of Health, the Magallanes Health Service, the Clinical Hospital, the University of Magallanes, and local primary healthcare services.
