Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area hosts youth environmental excursion

Thirty children participating in the “Anche io sono la Protezione Civile” (I am also Civil Protection) field school took part in an educational excursion organized by the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area. The group traveled from Punta della Campanella to Positano, traversing the Salerno side of the protected area along the Amalfi Coast.

The excursion included a swim at Marina del Cantone and visits to Ieranto, allowing the participants to learn about marine biodiversity and the importance of environmental conservation. The seven-day, six-night program is organized by the Civil Protection of Sant’Agnello for children aged 10 to 13. Carolina Mazzella, president of the Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area, noted that the experience helped the children understand responsible behaviors necessary to protect their local natural heritage.
