Punta Cana and Puerto Rico kick off multi‑million‑dollar luxury beach projects
Construction has begun on two high‑end tourism developments in the Caribbean. In Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Tralles Developers Group launched the $30 million Tropical Beach Residences project, planning 164 villas and townhouses on a 48,000‑square‑metre site near the international airport. The development will feature pools, a gym, café, mini‑market, children’s park and other amenities, and is expected to create direct and indirect jobs in construction, services and tourism.
Meanwhile, La Concha Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico, held a ground‑breaking ceremony for LUXE AZUL, a new beach club and entertainment venue. The $6.5 million investment will add luxury dining, poolside lounges, a private cabana and concert spaces, generating more than 20 direct jobs and over 100 indirect jobs during construction and operation. Both projects aim to boost local economies and reinforce the Caribbean’s position as a world‑class tourist destination.
