Punta del Boquerón faces neglect, threatening Blue Flag status

The political group Andalucía Por Sí has denounced the state of abandonment at Punta del Boquerón, a natural monument in San Fernando, Spain. The group reported seeing litter, including cans, plastics, and abandoned chairs, as well as displaced dune protection elements.

They expressed concern that the lack of maintenance, security, and delays in planned works could damage the area's environmental and touristic image. Specifically, the group warned that this neglect might jeopardize the Blue Flag recognition for Camposoto Beach in future editions.

Andalucía Por Sí called for better coordination between the San Fernando City Council and the Junta de Andalucía to address the situation and ensure the conservation of this protected natural space.
